Executive Team
Morocco’s Executive Team is the servant leadership group who is responsible for overseeing our congregation.
In order to be qualify to serve on the Executive Team a person must meet the qualifications for elders presented in scripture (1 Timothy 3, for example), meet the qualifications for membership and leadership set forth in the Discipline of the United Brethren Church, and be a member of Morocco Church.
Those selected for the Executive Team receive a plurality of recommendations from the congregation based on the qualification above. They are then interviewed by the pastoral staff to verify they are qualified and willing to serve.
Next, their names are announced to the congretation, who then have a period of time to present any reasons they might know that would prevent the nominee from serving. If no objections are raised, the elder nominee is presented to the congregation for affirmation and joins the Executive Team.
